Focus and Scope

Kapata Arkeologi is aims to be a peer-reviewed platform and an authoritative source of information. All papers are peer-reviewed by at least two referees. Kapata Arkeologi is managed to be issued twice in every volume. Kapata Arkeologi publish original research papers, review articles, case studies and conceptual ideas or theories focused on archaeological research and other disciplines related to humans and culture. The Scope of Kapata Arkeologi is:

Peer Review Process

The reviewer of Kapata Arkeologi has competencies in disciplines of archeology, ethnography, anthropology, history, and cultural studies, and is able to work professionally by upholding the Publication Ethics as Reviewer. Kapata Arkeologi reviewing policies are:

  1. Every submitted manuscript will be reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers.
  2. Reviewers will review the manuscript in accordance with its disciplines. If the manuscript is inappropriate with its disciplines of competencies, the Reviewers reserves the right to refuse the review process and the manuscript will be transferred to another reviewer.
  3. Reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewers (double blind review method).
  4. Reviewing process will consider novelty, objectivity, method, scientific impact, conclusion, and references.

 

Publication Frequency

Kapata Arkeologi published online twice a year in July and November.

 

Open Access Policy

Kapata Arkeologi provides immediate open access and free of charges to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public to supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Plagiarism Check

Basically, the authors are obliged to submit manuscripts that are free from plagiarism and academic rules deviations. Plagiarism screening will be conducted by Editorial Board through a review of the manuscript based on the clarity of reference/quotation sources and checking the similarities of related articles that have been published. Editorial Board using Grammarly® Plagiarism Checker and plagiarisma.net as a plagiarism screening tools in each manuscript.

 

Article Processing Charges

Every article submitted to Kapata Arkeologi will not have any 'Article Processing Charges'. This includes submitting, peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allows immediate access to the full text versions of the articles. Kapata Archeologi also does not provide honorarium to the author.

 

Copy Editing and Proofreading

The Copy Editing and Proofreading process of each accepted article use additional tool Grammarly® writing-enhancement program conducted by Editorial Board of Kapata Arkeologi.

 

References Management

Every article submitted to Kapata Arkeologi shall use reference management software e.g. EndNote® or Mendeley.

 

Accreditation Certificate

Kapata Arkeologi has been certificated as a National Scientific Journal by The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) number: 678/Akred/P2MI-LIPI/07/2015 since 15 July 2015.
